Financial amount is the most basic financial concept. It is the money amount in a given currency.

Imagine someone opening the refrigerator to count how many beers there are and saying: “3 cans”. You know what it means. Three cans are too few for your fellows. Where is the nearest super-market?

It is not so different when you open your wallet, count the bills and say “three dollars”, “twenty Euros” or “ten Reais”. They are amounts in a given measure (cans or currency).

This is very basic but keep in mind that you do some many things with money without thinking that forget and neglect the concepts behind. Does someone remember how do we call a financial amount paid or received in a certain date?
